This is TURBINA
The first cylindrical burr coffee grinder

A new type of burr
for a new era of coffee
Rather than base Turbina on common flat or conical burrs, we decided to work from the grounds up, designing with 21st century manufacturing methods in mind.
The result is not just a quantum leap forward in precision and consistency - it’s a grinder that excels at every kind of drink.

Precision redefined.
Dialing in your espresso with a tradional grinder can feel like threading a needle.
That’s because both flat and conical burrs have a 1:1 ratio between the distance the burr moves during adjustment, and the theoretical output size of the coffee grounds.
Turbina’s cylindrical burrs are different - because their angle is so steep, it is the only coffee grinder with a 19:1 mechanical advantage.
The result? Incredible accuracy across a single, smooth, 360 degree adjustment range. No springs, no clicks, and perfect repeatability.

GROUNDs-BREAKIng, INSIDE AND OUT
Cylindrical burrs don’t just make for better coffee, they also make for a better grinder. Unlike other grinders, Turbina is driven by a powerful motor and all-metal planetary gearbox hidden within the burr itself.
This incredibly compact design means fewer parts, a smaller footprint, and perfect alignment out of the box.

optimized for the perfect workflow
Turbina’s built in slow-feed mechanism ensures a consistent flow of beans into the burrs - and prevents “popcorning” - where beans escape the grinder, fall into a crack in the countertop, and begin growing coffee plants in your kitchen.
Because its burrs are so large, they can spin slowly - making it quite possibly the quietest electric coffee grinder in the world. Perfect for not waking the baby in the next room.
And when you’re done, just give the hopper a quick twist to automatically knock loose any remaining coffee dust.
big BURR ENERGY.
Larger burrs produce fewer fines - the tiny particles of coffee that have a disproportionate impact on how bitter your drink tastes, whether you’re making espresso or filter coffee.
A greater surface area also means that burrs can grind faster and last longer without sacrificing grind quality.
It’s no wonder then that we are in the midst of an arms race to see who can cram the biggest diameter burrs into a coffee grinder. But perhaps it’s time to work smarter - not harder - and our cylindrical burrs facilitate a far greater surface area while fitting in a much smaller package.

100% tool free cleaning
…Because your morning routine should never involve a screwdriver.
Vertical burr teeth mean that gravity does most of the work to reduce retention - and a knocker elegantly hidden inside the hopper takes care of the rest.
But in the rare case that you want to see inside, Turbina’s outer burr can be removed with a single twist of the adjustment dial.

A perfect duet
Turbina is designed to play well with any partner, but for the ultimate home espresso setup, try pairing it with Trefolo, our minimalist espresso machine!
